Based on law number 16 of 1997 on statistics, BPS is obliged to disseminate the results of its activities to the public. Dissemination of the results of this activity can be through website, publication, integrated statistical services, exhibitions etc. BPS as a provider of data and statistical information derived from the results of BPS surveys such as the National Socio-Economic Survey conducted 2 times a year (semester) in March and September. The National Labor Force Survey (SAKERNAS) is a survey that runs on the same semester in February and August. There are many other strategic data generated by BPS survey such as consumer price index (CPI), inflation, distribution pattern, farmer exchange rate (nTP), export / inport, hotel room occupancy rate, small micro industry, large / medium industry, economic growth and others
In addition to BPS data, users of data or stakeholders also need sectoral data or secondary data generated from various Organization of Regional Devices (OPD), agencies and institutions. Therefore every year BPS Samosir District comes to the Organization of Regional Devices (OPD), agencies, Institutions to collect sectoral data in order to arrange the District of Samosir In Figures 2017.
The Focus Group Discussion (FGD) activity of Samosir District in Figures 2017 'was held on 30 August 2017. This activity was opened directly by the Vice Regent of Samosir Regency. In this FGD event, there are three speakers namely first plt. Regional Secretary of Samosir Regency, Drs. Jabiat Sagala, M.Hum who delivered the material "The Role of Sectoral Data for Planning Support, Monitoring and Evaluation of Development". The second resource person is the Head of BPS of Samosir Regency, Ir. Rudy Harlon Harianja with material "One Data For Better Development". While the third speaker of Head of Statistics Distribution Section BPS Samosir District Wivo Prawiska Sinaga, SST with the material "Economic Census 2016-Continued: Data Collection UMK and UMB Year 2017 Samosir District".
Participants from OPD / Institution / Institution / TNI / Polri which is the source of data in the month of Samosir District In Figures 2017. Expected results from the FGD implementation is / discuss the data to be published so as to produce publication of Samosir Regency In Figures 2017 quality and strengthening cooperation between BPS with OPD / Institution / Institution as data source.
