The number of foreign tourists visiting in North Sumatera through 3 (three) entrances in June 2017 reached 18,925 visits, decreasing 5.75 percent compared to those coming in May 2017 reaching 20,080 visits. However, when compared to the same month in 2016, the number of foreign tourists in June 2017 increased 25.46 percent, from 15,084 visits in June 2016 to 18,925 visits.

The period of January-June 2017, the number of foreign tourists increased 22.28 percent over the same period in 2016, ie from 97,216 visits in 2016 to 118,879 visits in 2017.

In June 2017, foreign tourists from Malaysia are the most visitors with 8,276 visits or 43.73 percent of total foreign tourists visiting in North Sumatra.

Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star-rated hotels in North Sumatera in June 2017 reached an average of 43.71 percent, or down 0.12 points compared to May 2017 of 43.83 percent.

The average length of stay of foreign guests and Indonesian guests in star-rated hotels in June 2017 was 1.39 days, down 0.24 points compared to May 2017.

The number of domestic passengers departing from North Sumatra through Kualanamu International Airport during June 2017 reached 280,475 people, down 4.80 percent compared to May 2017 which reached 294,629 people.

The number of inter-island sea passengers who departed in June 2017 was 6,255 people, up 99.78 percent compared to the previous month of 3,131 people.
