Export value through loading port in North Sumatera in June 2017 decreased compared to May 2017 from US $ 770,81 million to US $ 632.13 million or decreased by 17.99 percent. Similarly, when compared to June 2016, North Sumatra exports decreased by 5.75 percent.
The greatest decline in export value of North Sumatera in June 2017 to May 2017 occurred in fats and animal / vegetable oil (HS 15) of US $ 72.22 million (-22.70%) followed by rubber and rubber goods (HS 40) US $ 34.48 million (-25.97%) and fruits (HS 08) amounted to US $ 8.27 million (-31.61%).
Exports to the United States in June 2017 were the largest at US $ 71.28 million followed by India at US $ 66.65 million and Japan at US $ 55.90 million with a contribution of 30.66 percent.
According to the group of export destination countries in June 2017, the Asian region (outside ASEAN) was the largest with a value of US $ 222.61 million (35.22 percent).
