In July 2017, NTP of North Sumatra Province (2012 = 100) was recorded at 98.47 or decreased 1.07 percent compared to June 2017 NTP of 99.54.
The decrease of NTP in July 2017 was caused by the decrease of NTP in all sub-sectors, namely Food Crops sub-sector by 0.86 percent, Horticulture subsector by 0.79 percent, Smallholder's Estate sub-sector by 1.96 percent, Livestock sub-sector by 0.12 percent and sub- Fisheries by 0.70 percent.
Changes in Household Consumption Index (IKRT) reflect the rate of rural inflation / deflation. In July 2017, there was a rural inflation in North Sumatra of 0.53 percent. This was caused by the increase of index in all groups of household consumption, namely foodstuff index by 0.90 percent, food, tobacco, tobacco and tobacco index by 0.01 percent, housing group index by 0.05 percent, group index Clothing by 0.05 percent, health group index by 0.22 percent, education, recreation and sports group index by 2.66 percent, and transportation and communication group index by 0.04 percent.
Agricultural Household Trade Rate (NTUP) of North Sumatera Province in July 2017 was 105.08 or decreased 0.72 percent compared to NTUP in the previous month.
