Abstract

  • The export value through loading ports in the Sumatera Utara region in September 2018 has decreased compared to August 2018, namely from US $ 758.76 million to US $ 734.29 million or down by 3.22 percent. When compared with September 2017, North Sumatra's exports decreased by 5.97 percent.
  • The largest decline in North Sumatra's export value in September 2018 against August 2018 occurred in animal / vegetable fats and oils (HS 15) of US $ 32.98 million (-10.41%) followed by coffee, the spices (HS 09) ) amounting to US $ 9.30 million (-23.49%), fish and shrimp (HS 03) of US $ 6.16 million (23.40%).
  • Exports to China in September 2018 were the largest, namely US $ 97.25 million, followed by the United States of US $ 81.79 million, and India at US $ 53.70 million, with contributions from the three reaching 31.70 percent.
  • According to the group of export destination countries in September 2018, exports to the Asian region (outside ASEAN) were the largest with a value of US $ 232.56 million (31.67 percent).
