Harvest Area and Rice Production in Sumatera Utara 2018

Abstract

The area of rice harvest in North Sumatra from January to September 2018 amounted to 302.96 thousand hectares. Taking into account the potential until December 2018, the harvested area in 2018 is 360.72 thousand hectares.
Rice production in Indonesia for the period January-September 2018 is 1,600.38 thousand tons of Dry Grain (GKG). Based on the potential for production until December 2018, it is estimated that total rice production in 2018 will amount to 1,907.73 thousand tons of GKG.
If rice production is converted into rice using the number of MPD conversion to rice in 2018, then the rice production is equivalent to 1,088.67 thousand tons of rice.
